Information on cross-country skiing

148 km Cross-country trails (in km):

The Wilder Kaiser - Brixental region is one of the top cross-country skiing areas in Tyrol. Around 148 kilometres of perfectly groomed cross-country trails are available for classic-style and skating-style skiing - embedded in a dreamlike winter landscape with sunny valleys, snow-covered forests and impressive mountain panoramas.

The extensive network of cross-country trails covers all levels of difficulty and has a connection to the trails in St. Johann and Kitzbühel. Ambitious cross-country skiers can enjoy the challenging cross-country trail in Angerberg or the approx. 8.4 km long trail in Kelchsau with an elevation gain of 200 metres. Connoisseurs will find ideal conditions on trails such as the 2.2 km long high altitude cross-country ski trail in Hochbrixen or the Sunnseitloipe in Söll with its stunning views.

Numerous highlights provide variety: In Scheffau, a floodlit cross-country trail enables evening training, while the Angerberg/Mariastein cross-country centre impresses with 30 km of cross-country trails in a quiet location, also with its own night trail. Unforgettable impressions can also be collected on the Auner circuit in Westendorf (8.7 km), the Kaiserloipe in Ellmau, the Penningbergloipe in Hopfgarten and the Sonnenplateau cross-country trail in Itter.

Whether beginner or advanced, sporty or leisurely: cross-country skiing enthusiasts will find varied routes and perfect conditions to enjoy nature to the full in the entire Wilder Kaiser - Brixental region.
