27.5 km Cross-country trails (in km):
In the entire Salzburger Sportwelt, ambitious cross-country skiers have access to an excellently groomed network of cross-country skiing trails covering a total of 260 kilometres. Of these, there are already 27.5 fantastic kilometres of cross-country trails in Wagrain-Kleinarl, spread over eight easy to intermediate trails. Along the trails, which are groomed for both cross-country skiing styles (classic and skating), cross-country skiers can always stop off in cosy huts and fortify themselves in a rustic atmosphere.
Particularly recommended are the Jägerse cross-country ski trail, which offers a unique panorama as you make your way to Jägersee from Kleinarl, as well as the extensive Tauern cross-country ski trail, which leads over easy to moderate 60 kilometres of trails from Wagrain to Untertauern.
Beginners are also very welcome on the cross-country trails in Wagrain-Kleinarl and the entire Salzburg Sportwelt. The cross-country ski schools provide support for the first skating attempts and the sports shops offer winter sports enthusiasts the necessary equipment for hire.
